Job Summary

The primary role/function of this position will be to provide system administration and technical support as the subject matter expert for facilities applications and their complex IT infrastructure. Including:

  • Conduct business and system process analysis, developing creative solutions to complex problems. 
  • Liaison between Facilities and IT/vendors in support of implementations.
  • Oversight and maintenance of system documentation templates and requirements.
  • Focus on safety, reliability, and process improvement in all manners of work and interactions.

Responsibilities*

  • Application administration and technical support as a subject matter expert.
  • Raise or track issues, lead resolutions, identify root cause or lessons learned, document, and propose improvements. 
  • Resolve support tickets and vulnerability remediation. 
  • Analyze various options to balance requirements, risks, and cost. 
  • Plan, lead, and execute application upgrades and implementations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and availability. 
  • Participate in a one-week on-call rotation and assist team members with technical efforts.
  • Lead or participate in multiple concurrent projects.
  • Support various applications and interfaces. 

  • Automate repetitive tasks, create reports and dashboards, and continuously improve our processes. 

  • Create, maintain, and review system documentation.

  • Cross-train with other team members, learning new skills and providing back-up and workload support when needed.

  • Stay current with emerging technology and industry trends. 

  • Anticipate business needs and propose solutions.

Required Qualifications*

  • Four-year degree, and three years of experience working with complex enterprise IT systems and networks, or a combination of relevant experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in independent troubleshooting of applications.

  • Proficient in creating and maintaining application infrastructure documentation or standard operating procedures.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work remotely and on-site as needed.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively with diverse groups.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with Windows Server application management and basic networking.

  • Ability to manage, troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor BACnet and BACnet/IP networks

  • SQL Database queries, Cybersecurity, Reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, BIRT), SharePoint, and ServiceNow

  • Experience with Siemens Desigo, Kode OS, Niagara, IBM Maximo MAS, Boomi Integration, Kubernetes containerized applications, Copeland TempTrak, or power monitoring systems.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and hospital facilities operations.

  • IT certifications related to network, server, security, Boomi, or IBM Maximo Manage.
