This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division facilities at our Promontory Utah facilities.

The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian/janitor to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep, they will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space, and a keen eye for detail.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Emptying trash receptacles daily in assigned areas.
• Tidying furniture and dusting surfaces in empty offices, cubicles, mother's rooms, and lobbies.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors of all kinds. This may include using a carpet cleaner to remove stains.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers. Clean mirrors and windows. Restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.)
• Clean building entrances, including glass doors and make sure floors are clean and clear of debris.
• Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
• Previous custodial experience required
• Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
• Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Be able to stand, walk, crouch, go up and down stairs, get in and out of a vehicle throughout the day.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license
• Able to obtain a DOD clearance "Secret" level, if required
• 2 years custodial work experience
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
• Previous custodial experience required
• Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
• Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components

Salary Range: $33,300 - $55,500
Salary Range 2: $39,500 - $65,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
