We want you to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team as a Systems Engineer. The SEIT Requirements and Verification team handles all System level requirements for the Trident II ballistic missile (commonly known as the D5LE and D5LE2 missile), oversees interface definitions, plans and executes verification processes, and has fingers in every development project under the FBM Program.

We have a Weapon System level view of the FBM Program with activities related to integrating the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) missile into the submarine weapon system, as well as supporting efforts to integrate missile subsystems into the flight vehicle design.

As a Systems Engineer for Requirements and Verification on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will:

* Develop/analyze/verify system level requirements and document & manage accordingly.

* Coordinate with customer and other contractors to execute verification analyses and tests.

* Organize/coordinate domain expert objective evidence creation and documentation.

* Organize/coordinate system level technical reviews.

Successful candidates typically have 14+ years of professional experience.

What a successful candidate will have:
* The ability to work on site at our Waterton Campus in Littleton, CO.

* An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

* 4+ years of systems engineering experience with an expertise in requirements and verification.
Basic Qualifications:
* Proficiency in the full systems engineering lifecycle.

* Prior education or professional experience in Electrical Engineering, RF, Computer Engineering, or other electrical disciplines.

* Demonstrated and advanced capability in requirements and verification (including writing requirements, requirement engineering, requirements management, and verification).

* Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

* Experience in Systems Engineering, specifically in the areas of requirements and verification (including requirement engineering, requirements management, verification).
Desired Skills:
* 4+ years of relevant systems engineering.

* Effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex concepts, lead reviews, and negotiate requirements.

* Experience integrating across functional organizations.

* MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Project.

* Experience with DOORS, DOORS Next, or other requirement management tool.

* Experience with, or on, the FBM program, working with the Navy, or Submarine exposure is highly desired.

* Self-starter, able to complete work with general direction.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
