The Coca-Cola’s Summer Internship program is a 9–10-week experience at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA. We’re constantly transforming our portfolio, from reducing sugar in our drinks to bringing innovative new products to market. As a Supply Chain Engineering Intern with The Coca-Cola Company, you’ll help us transform our business.
In this role, you will work on real-world projects supporting our Company-owned Syrup and Juice producing locations. From creating robust scorecards to track and communicate Capital Project execution in the sites, updating our equipment asset register across all sites, or planning and implementing a digital asset management system for our technical drawings at sites, you will play a pivotal role in improving Coca-Cola's manufacturing operations. But most importantly, you will be implementing systems and processes that will live on in Coca Cola for many years to come. This internship offers exposure to cutting-edge technology, collaboration with experienced engineers, and a chance to develop technical and leadership skills.
What You May Do for Us:
Create Robust Scorecards: Develop and implement scorecards to track and communicate the progress of Capital Project execution across our Coca-Cola Syrup and Juice production sites. This will involve data collection, performance metrics analysis, and creating visual representations of project status.
Update Equipment Asset Register: Conduct a comprehensive review of existing equipment assets across all production sites and ensure that the asset register is up to date. This includes verifying asset details, condition assessments, and implementing any required changes or updates in the system, capturing last 12 month equipment additions.
Plan and Implement Digital Asset Management System: Design and deploy a digital asset management system specifically for managing technical drawings and related documents at production sites. This may involve selecting appropriate software, setting up a database, digitizing existing documents, and training staff on its usage.
Collaborate with Experienced Engineers: Work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, adhering to best practices and industry standards. This collaboration will also provide mentorship opportunities and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Implement Long-lasting Systems and Processes: Develop and install systems and processes that enhance the efficiency and durability of Coca-Cola’s engineering and manufacturing operations. Focus on creating solutions that will remain robust and effective over an extended period.
Leverage Cutting-edge Technology: Utilize the latest technology and innovative solutions to improve our ability to execute these deliverables. This includes exploring new tools and techniques that can enhance productivity, safety, and overall performance of the activities.
Qualification & Educational Requirements:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Food Engineering or related field with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2025.
Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action.
Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for quality processes
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate strong project management experience with the ability to define and lead projects and direct/motivate project teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, XLS, PPT)
