Full Job Description
Description:
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as administrative support in the Human Resources to support supervisors and employees to further the cause of The Opportunity Tree in providing supports and services to Members.
- Liaison for the Human Resources and operations to support supervisors and employees.
- Assist with the recruitment efforts of The Opportunity Tree, which may include internal and/or external job postings, hiring events, and The Opportunity Tree onboarding process.
- Accountable for the Arizona DPS requirements for Fingerprint Clearance Card process to include ensuring all Fingerprint Clearance Cards are current at all times.
- Data entry and maintenance of tracking systems regarding employees to include confidential employee information, training, regulatory required checks, and The Opportunity Tree required checks.
- Maintain compliance of employee documents to prevent documents from expiring by obtain current documents in a timely manner.
- Plan, schedule, invite employees, and provide necessary supplies for Human Resources meetings and training sessions.
- Special projects for The Opportunity Tree as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
- Maintains confidentiality of information regarding Members and The Opportunity Tree.
- Advocate on behalf of the Members and their families to ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have a voice.
- Promote and maintain a collaborative and respectful working environment and a line of communications with all stakeholders of The Opportunity Tree.
- Comply and enforce the Policies, Procedures, and Regulations of The Opportunity Tree.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Arizona driver license with Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record and compliance per the requirements of The Opportunity Tree's insurance carrier.
- Communicate in English, to include read, speek and write.
- Experience: One year experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge: Intermediate in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, web browser, and human resource systems.
- Personal enthusiasm for participation in a non-profit organization, which provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Positive attitude and ability to represent The Opportunity Tree effectively in the community. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with Members, staff, families, funders and stakeholders.
- Successful completion and maintain all required training which may include CPR, First Aid, and Prevention and Support.
- Successfully meet AZ-DPS requirements for Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Reliable transportation and travel for The Opportunity Tree business.
- Skills to include but not limited to knowledge of principles in staff interaction, task productivity, time management, problem identification and resolution administration.
