Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst II to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. This position will be responsible for supporting in-depth market research and competitive analysis. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong research skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
What you'll be doing:
- Track, analyze and report the state of the economy and the Marine industry, identifying trends, market opportunities, and potential threats.
- Conduct comprehensive competitive research using both internal sources (sales and warranty data, sales teams, product teams) and external sources (industry reports, social media, competitor websites, industry analysts, conferences, etc.).
- Create and maintain competitors’ profiles deep dives.
- Create and maintain competitor battlecards for product acquired via M&A, that directly impact competitor win rates.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Provide organized data in consistent structure for activities such as data visualization, reporting, forecasting and analysis to support strategic planning and executive decision making
- Create and maintain accurate industry forecasts that help the company proactively plan for volume changes.
- Support marketing, sales, product management and advanced engineering initiatives by sharing insights with those teams.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, economics, or related field.
- 3-5 year of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or product marketing.
- Proficiency with MS Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau)
- Basic knowledge of forecasting techniques and tools (R or SPSS knowledge)
