  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. *This is a 6-month temporary position*

Job Description

The Master Data Specialist performs activities required to create, change, validate and rationalize SAP master data to maintain data integrity through all SAP systems. This role executes master data requests in multi-system environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requests to create, change, extend, block, unblock, activate, deactivate, or modify master data
  • Maintain master data governance rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), naming convention and other enterprise data standards
  • Communicate and liaise with business units to thoroughly understand business requirements and impact of master data changes
  • Prioritize, execute, follow up and track data collection and validation projects
  • Analyze, validate, prioritize and execute requests for mass maintenance to ensure the appropriate standards and governance rules are maintained
  • Perform basic statistical and relational analysis of large data sets to identify and correct inconsistencies & anomalies
  • Apply business rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in global data fields and reject, escalate or remediates errors
  • Maintain service level targets

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • 2+ years related experience analyzing, validating and posting SAP master data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and strong Excel skills
  • Basic statistical and relational analysis skills including sound logical reasoning
  • Ability to analyze and resolve questions and problems independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets company requirements.
  • Ability to occasionally travel, as business needs require.
