Principal Software Engineer

We seek a Principal Software Engineer who will work closely with a tenured experienced team of software, firmware, hardware engineers and architects as well as customers who are very intimate with Honeywell's Control Distributed Control System and technologies. The candidate must demonstrate technical breadth and depth in the Systems products offered by Honeywell Life Cycle Solutions and Services (LSS) and Experion. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in elicitation and negotiation of the product requirements with the customers and partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Honeywell Forge team on requirements and architecture required for LSS Services offering. Oversee Forge incorporation in LSS products.
- Work with Offering Management and Technology team to derive Software as a Service offerings and expand the LSS Services portfolio.
- Work with the Technology team to develop and implement a comprehensive LSS Software Architecture strategy.
- Assist in Analysis of Experion cross-team requirements.
- Drive Experion innovation leveraging Microsoft technologies.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in Product development engineering.
- Ability to understand, learn and maintain Large Software and Systems solutions.
- Experience in developing Full-stack cloud and micro-services software.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft technologies such as Windows, .NET, Visual Studio, Azure, etc.
- Ability to write C, C++, windows, and/or embedded Linux code.
WE VALUE
- Knowledge on the Total Distributed Control (TDC),Total Plant Solution (TPS) and Experion will be an added advantage.
- Experienced in large scale legacy system migrations and deployments.
- Working knowledge in VMWare Virtualization, Performance characterization and automation.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft technologies, from Operating Systems internals to Cloud like Azure infrastructure.
- Experience working in an Agile Environment, Multi-tasking, Planning and working without direct supervision.
- Proven track record of Innovative mind set, Built-in Quality, excellent execution focus, and responsiveness to customers, team and management.
- Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
- The candidate should have good communication skills and have demonstrated this working with a global team of various functions, domain experts & multi-level management teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise to lead teams in solving complex problems
