Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Receiving Inspector to join our team in Bethpage, NY for the Global Autonomous & Tactical Solutions Operating Unit supporting multiple programs and efforts and ensuring Quality Products are delivered to our customers.
The selected candidates will perform the following:
• Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
• Interacts with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.
• Have strong attention to detail and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Receiving Inspector (level 4)
• High School Diploma with 6 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 4 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or production control, global supply chain, and/or quality OR 8 or more years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
• Capable of performing detailed inspections with minimal oversight.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experienced in the use of inspection tooling, such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
• Experienced with interpretation of Engineering Drawings.
• Experience in the use of ERP systems to document inspections.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using S4 ERP system.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis. Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
• Experience with ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation.
• Experience with Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
• Awareness of or trained to IPC 620 and or J-STD-001.
Salary Range: $43,100 - $71,900
Salary Range 2: $51,200 - $85,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
