The Role
We're looking for enthusiastic Data Engineers who are passionate, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help us on our mission to deliver unified experiences to our customers. Your development skills, business understanding, and relationship skills will help ensure other teams have the right data to make good and timely decisions. As a Data Engineer at Fidelity,
- You will help us build the solutions to support and scale our capabilities.
- You'll work on designing and delivering data lakes, data warehouses and reporting platforms, as a part of our autonomous and cross functional teams.

- Have an approach of test first development and are experienced in modern test frameworks. We believe that quality is everyone's job.
- Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.
- Have great communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions.
- Work closely with business units in re-engineering and automation efforts that result in impactful and significant straight thru processing, while developing best-in-class digital experiences for our customers and associates
The Skills You Bring
- Hands-on experience in Data engineering, data warehousing and analytics technologies.
- Working experience with Relational Databases like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Deep knowledge and experience with SQL/PLSQL programming, performance tuning, Data modeling and Data analysis on relational databases.
- Proven experience working in a Cloud environment using AWS, Azure, Google etc.
- Expertise in comprehensive ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) life cycle using Informatica Power Center 8.x/9.x (Repository Manager, Mapping Designer, Workflow Manager & Workflow Monitor) and PL/SQL / T-SQL stored procedures.
- Proven ability with modern Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Python, Scala, Java)
- Strong working knowledge of cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions using Snowflake, Redshift etc.
- Proven experience with DevOps, CI/CD using tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Terraform, Cloud Formation etc.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new technology stacks.

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most roles listed as Hybrid will require associates to work onsite all business days of every other week in a Fidelity office.
