The Senior Director will report directly to the Vice President, OSD Customer Relations Team within the Corporate Global Business Development organization. The selected candidate will be responsible and accountable for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective customer relations between Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Government, specifically the Office of Management & Budget and the Office of Cost Assessment & Program Evaluation within the Department of Defense, in addition to having a clear understanding of priorities and requirements of the Executive Branch, DoD, and congressional staff members. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Designing, coordinating, and executing customer analysis plans, strategic customer approach plans, and customer contact plans in support of the NGC Sectors that have relevant business.
• Providing input to leadership to assist with the development of the CEO priority Programs, Business Acquisitions Plans and Capture Action Plans, and the execution of these plans.
• Remaining aware of significant policy, programmatic, budgetary, and legislative initiatives affecting Corporate/Sector goals, objectives, and business area programs.
EXPERTISE NEEDED:
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years combined U.S. Government service and/or business development experience including management and leadership experience.
• Deep experience and senior relationships with the target customer
• Able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
• Knowledgeable of the Program Planning Budget System (PPBS), budget cycle, and requirements processes.
• The ability to analyze a broad range of issues and a demonstrated ability in strategic thinking to best influence senior U.S. Government civilian and military decision makers.
• A high level of confidence, integrity, and hands on approach to problem solving are required as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing government decision makers, senior management, and executives both internal and external to the company.
• Flexibility and demonstrated strong judgment/decision-making skills, and political acumen.
• A strong commitment and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation, and human relations' skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in National Security or related discipline.
Salary Range: $235,000 - $352,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
