As a Senior Engineering Manager, your duties will include planning, designing, and overseeing projects, managing finances, and supervising one or more engineering teams.
As a Senior Engineer Manager working for Waygate Technologies Visual business, you will be responsible for:
Leading a diverse global software team to develop embedded firmware and software to delight our customers while being on-time and within budget.
Collaborating with our cross-functional teams to define requirements, deploy software to production, and support customers via our tech support and quality teams.
Driving a continuous improvement mindset.
Mentoring, career growth, and skills/competency development of the team.
Partnering with the cloud team on hybrid edge/cloud solutions.
Collaborating with customers on joint development agreements.
Deploying edge analytics.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have a bachelors degree in engineering with at least 10 years of related work experience or a masters degree with 7 years of related work experience.
Have a minimum of 3 years experience managing people.
Be proficient with agile methodologies.
Have experience bringing software architects together to determine the optimal solutions.
Have experience developing detailed software schedules that integrate with the overall cross-functional project schedules.
Have experience working with global teams.
Have experience creating statements of work for time and material or fixed bid contracts.
