Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Functional Homeroom Manager 2 to direct a team within a section of the Aerospace Vehicle and Systems Integration (AVSI) Mission and Weapon System Engineering (MWSE) functional homeroom. This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site in Roy, Utah.

This is a dual-role manager position, involving balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a Systems Engineering group of up to 15 engineers while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on technical program work. Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees' performance and career development through guidance and training. The direct program responsibilities will be dependent upon programmatic technical work.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 6 years of related experience
• At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
• 1+ year of experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Cameo.
• 1+ years of experience in development and maintenance of Interface Control Modules
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Existing 80% SDS Technical scope of work
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• 7+ years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment
• Advanced degree in engineering
• Active DOD Top Secret clearance, SAP, and/or SCI access
• 2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a multi-disciplined environment
• 1+ year experience creating program governance
• 3+ years of experience in using CAD software (Siemens NX, Solid Edge, Solid Works, Pro/E etc)

Salary Range: $135,100 - $202,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
