WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will report to the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) function. The role will allow the CCOE to build and deliver a service in partnership with the rest of TNC IT. Deploying and debugging systems as well as executing new cloud initiatives will be part of the role. The Sr. Cloud Engineer will work with a variety of IT professionals and teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet our customers' needs.


Identifying optimal cloud solutions by collaborating with engineering teams and development teams. Assist teams with the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives by coaching and educating them. Implement and assist in the development of codified automated infrastructure. Understand, clarify, and translate technical and non-technical requirements into codified software functions. Estimate task and component work effort implementation requirements. Responsible to build services to effectively provision, install/configure public cloud infrastructure including networking, compute, and storage. Develop and maintain standardized services to facilitate and ensure operational health of stacks throughout their lifecycle.


WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

* Experience in cloud development components and a well-rounded / working-knowledge of cloud DevOps platform capabilities (AWS preferred)
* Advise on all aspects of AWS cloud infrastructure and networking offerings.
* Understanding of the major operational processes (e.g., release management, patching, change management) and the impact of AWS on these processes.
* Experience in automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application lifecycle using AWS services.
* Experience with Terraform / Cloud formation to support IaC.
* Experience with AWS CI/CD services and Bitbucket.
* OS windows and/or Linux experience.
* Provide technical coaching to accelerate cloud infrastructure learnings across the organization.
* Expertise with programming & scripting languages (java, javascript, python)


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or an alternate combination of education/experience in the equivalent job knowledge and skills.
* 5+ years of experience in cloud administration.
* AWS Certified SysOps Administrators Associate or equivalent experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
* Strong knowledge of technology and how it can be used to increase productivity.
* Practical knowledge and/or experience in functional areas being supported desired.
* Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
* Strong ability to collaborate.
* Strong dedication to the development of customer-centric standards and solutions.
* Agile and iterative development practices and lifecycle workflows.
* Latest cloud offerings and services (AWS Preferred).
* Containerization experience: e.g., AWS ECS/Fargate, Kubernetes
* Cloud migration experience
* Cloud FinOps practices
* Design and build resilient/cost effective cloud application environment

SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $110,600 - $165,900 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
