Summary: The Mechanical Engineering intern will have the opportunity to work on various projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, developing innovative solutions, and contributing to the success of our operations. While not required, familiarity with SolidWorks, mechanical design, or CAM would be beneficial, along with any prior experience in machine shop, welding, or drafting classes. This individual will assist with the following: Update Manufacturing Process Documentation: Assist in updating manufacturing process documentation and written procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Develop Inventory Management System: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement an inventory management system to streamline workflow processes Analyze Machined Parts for 3D Printing: Identify machined parts suitable for conversion to 3D printed parts, conducting analysis to explore opportunities for improvement Support Small-Scale Design and Fabrication Projects: Work closely with engineering and management teams to assist in small-scale design and fabrication projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in project execution Requirements:
