We are looking for a UX Researcher with both consumer and enterprise experience to conduct evaluative and mixed methods research in support of our communication technology platform. The UXR Researcher will work closely with other UX Researchers, product managers, engineers, and designers to conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. usability testing, user/company interviews, perceptual studies, surveys). The UX Researcher will conduct research to support strategic direction for the our platform and support designing, setting up, analyzing, and presenting results from research studies.
As our communication technology platform will be launching to Enterprises, research will support the install, administration and maintenance of the platform within Enterprise companies as well as supporting research of our communication technology for end users.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage both strategic and tactical research to support support the setup and execution of research studies focused on the platform in enterprise as well as the product for end users.
- Understand study needs, create research plans, organize study materials, define respondent / participant criteria, and organize materials needed for research activities.
- Analyze and report on data from research activities.
Required Qualifications:
- M.A./M.S. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, or other fields emphasizing human behavior.
- 5-7 years of work experience in relevant graduate-school research experience
- Experience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning and analysis tools
- Experience with each of the following methods, and in-depth expertise in one or more of the following:
- Usability studies
- Behavioral science experiments
- Concept tests
- Perceptual studies
- User interviews
- Field research
- Surveys
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with our training program resources and customer journeys
- Solid understanding of and comfort with qualitative methods and foundational research.
- Strong understanding of experimental design
- Familiarity in basic quantitative analysis.
- Detail-oriented, excellent organization skills and ability to work to work independently on a variety of tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ph.D in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Vision Science, Cognition and Perception, or related field
- Experience with Enterprise focused research
- Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Psychophysical studies
- Perceptual thresholds
- Familiarity with aspects of vestibular conflicts
- Visual artifacts and advanced optics
- Customer journeys
- At least one year experience conducting research on enterprise-facing products or experiences.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $76.94 to $85.49 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
